The food is Average at best. The wait staff took our order and after that we had to look for someone to help us. Disappointed nothing to write home about!

Provided by DexKnowsMy wife and I found this place on the Internet. The food was good and the amount was decent for the price. The sweet potato fries with truffle sauce to dip them in was a first for us and very tasty...definitely recommended! The best thing about this restaurant are the staff, servers and management. My wife has a neuromuscular disease and at least one of her prescribed medications cause her to heat up. The day we went was a warm one and we asked for the coolest spot they could find. We were able to sit under a ceiling fan but the fan was blowing the air up. We asked if they could reverse the airflow. The server checked with the manager and she got it done. It made the difference of us being able to stay and eat vs. having to find somewhere else to eat. When the manager found out we were celebrating our 20th anniversary, she brought us some very yummie Mud Pie on-the-house. We will definitely be going back the next time we're in Santa Fe.

Poor service, gross vegi food, atmosphere entirely dependent on where they seat you, and only worthy of any stars because of Outside Sunday summer brunches... That's why I checked it out at other times and three strikes later I'll hither to stick to seasonal brunch or just go elsewhere entirely

Fast forward a couple of decades later and the Cowgirl BBQ occupies almost the entire block where it started, now with a billiard parlor, a commercial catering kitchen, and several private party rooms. The patio is one of the most inviting summertime venues for locals and tourists alike. The Cowgirl has become a local institution!
