Santa Fe Archery & Outdoors

I am thinking about getting back into archery after nearly 50 years of absence so I checked out the Archery Store which is about a mile or so from my house. It is a nice store with a lot of archery equipment but little else. The staff was knowledgeable, polite and helpful even though I made no purchase today. I think Santa Fe Archery will get more visits and some business. Prices were good for a local store with good help and local stock. I was favorably impressed.

I used to shoot a bow when i was younger and recently decided to get back into it. Santa Fe Archery was a big disappointment. The manager (owner?) barely gave me any attention, and instead talked to the regulars that were hanging out in the store. I asked about having some arrows made. The guy said it would be a bit and went about his business. I was waiting to be asked about my draw weight and length, what type of shaft material I wanted, what color fletching, etc. A while later, he passed by and said the arrows were almost ready. What?? Without any of my measurements or preferences taken? Looking at what I received, the fletching was mismatched (and CROOKED). It's safe to say I won't be going back to Santa Fe Archery. I suggest you look elsewhere for your archery needs.
