We’ll use the wellness visit to ask you questions about your pet’s behavior, appetite, exercise habits, and regular activities at home. This is also an excellent time for us to discuss any routine diagnostic testing that may benefit your pet or to recommend any vaccinations that may be due. If your pet seems healthy, a wellness examination is a good opportunity to note any changes, such as weight gain or loss or other subtle changes that may not be evident at home. Sometimes, information obtained during a wellness examination can help detect early signs of illness and address health issues before they progress.

Dermatology
Dr. Saele was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Growing up with two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, a green anole lizard, and multiple rabbits, she always knew from a very young age she wanted to work with animals. She completed a bachelor’s degree in biology from Saint Louis University, and she studied abroad in the Gold Coast of Australia during her sophomore year. She then took a year off school to work for a general practice back home in Cincinnati. She went on to earn her veterinary degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Saele enjoys the variety of general practice and has special interest in dermatology and surgery. She has a 4 year old Boston Terrier named Beans.
