No radiation is involved in ultrasound imaging. Ultrasound is a method of viewing the inside of the body through the use of high-frequency sound waves. It is a useful way of examining many of the body's internal organs, including the gallbladder, kidneys, spleen, pancreas, liver, bladder and thyroid.

Adirondack Radiology Associates physicians provide both general diagnostic radiology services and radiology sub-specialty services. Be assured all our physicians are trained in a variety of specialties. All of our physicians are Board Certified by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and have received extensive training in a general or subspecialty area.

Nuclear Medicine
Joshua Antiles, MD has been practicing radiology as a member of Adirondack Radiology Associates, P.C. since 1998. He is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and is Co-Director of Nuclear Medicine at Glens Falls Hospital. His areas of special interest include all aspects of CT and Ultrasound including interventional biopsies and drainage procedures. Other areas of interest include general diagnostic radiology and mammography.
Mammography
Associates, P.C. since 1988. He is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and practices at Adirondack Radiology Saratoga, Adirondack Radiology North Country, and Glens Falls Hospital. Dr. Reynolds has a special interest in diagnostic Ultrasound and was Director of Ultrasound at the Glens Falls Hospital. His other areas of interest include CT, MRI, densitometry (DEXA), general diagnostic radiology and mammography.
Computed Tomography
Is an X-Ray technique that uses a rotating X-Ray tube and electronic detectors to create cross-sectional images. With modern CT scanners, many cross-sections are obtained with each rotation. Special-purpose image processing workstation can then create a three-dimensional image of the body structures from the cross-sectional "slices", allowing our radiologists to "see" inside your body in great detail.
Interventional Radiology
David Markowitz, MD has been practicing radiology since 1988 and joined Adirondack Radiology Associates, P.C. in 2003. He is board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology with Certificate of Additional Qualification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology. He has academic teaching experience and is published in the medical literature. His special interests include interventional and emergency radiology.
