I waited a month for records to be sent to this office. When they received them, I was informed that they did not accept my insurance and did not accept private pay patients. Possibly this should have been mentioned when I first called the office. The office staff was very rude on the phone, each time I called. Several times I was on hold for up to 30 minutes. Being new to the Savannah area, they did not offer to assist me in any way. My urgency to find a doctor was dealt with very unprofessionally.

THIS IS LAUGHABLE.... You can NOT diagnose Diabetes through a urine test. Just the fact you stated something so outrageous makes me wonder if you saw Dr. Dehaven at all.

You are just the means to a new boat or retirement fund!! The office staff is cool at the most and so is he..no real hands-on if he can help it--spent about 10 mins with me, gave me an appt for 8 mos out, I forgot about the appt [life happens] and receive a bill for $20--when i called to ask about it, Sandy said that it was policy and they do not send out reminders even though they know you may forget--they count on you forgetting!! They do not send out reminders but they will send out a bill for his money! He does not care about the patient! He has quite a lot of elderly pts who I'm sure forget their appts!! Imagine how he racks up!! If I could rate him lower, I would! Bottom line...do not go to this physician! It's not enough that he gets the insurance, he wants your out-of-pocket as well! Btw, he does not see ANYBODY that does not have insurance!! YOU ARE NOT WORTHY OF TREATMENT! He should ask himself, "why did I become a doctor?" "Oh yeah, prestige only"

Dr. DeHaven, I thought, was the guru of diabetes and endocrine problems, but he missed my hypothyrodism and diabetes diagnosis. I regret that I spent so many years with him and he neglected to diagnose thyroid disease and type 1 diabetes. He knew diabetes ran in my family,but it slipped through his hands.



All it takes is a simple urine test to find diabetes and he failed at that. I moved away and called him and he returned my call by calling me collect. The ULTIMATE INSULT! I went to him around 20 years and I know that I probably bought him a Lexus or two.



Something somewhere is not right,overwork,distraction,exhaustion, I don't know, but I don't recommend him.
