This is simply my Buyer 19s Be...

UPDATE TO MY REVIEW BELOW - MORE THAN ONE YEAR LATER.....

It has been well over 1 year, and alhtough I immediately received a response to my complaint. Mr. Lowe still has not refunded my money as he promised in his email to me from September 2011...

This is simply my Buyer’s Beware to anyone thinking of having Chris Lowe, owner of Lowes Mobile Electronics, repair your computer. I had a laptop and a desk top that I had Mr. Lowe come to repair. He picked my laptop up on Thursday and had it back to me by Saturday. He came when he said he would. I thought this was fantastic that I didn’t have to go to him. When he returned my laptop and I saw it was working, immediately handed him my desktop to repair as well.

It really wasn’t until the following Tuesday that I started to notice problems. I didn’t have time to install all the programs I needed and I was out of the office, so I hadn’t actually used it until Tuesday (the day he brought back my desktop). On Wednesday I notice the little pop ups stating the os I had on my computer was not authentic. I knew something was different because it said Windows 7 and I had Windows Vista. Within the next few days the pop ups were coming fast and furious and were hard to ignore. The background kept turning black and I had to call Mr. Lowe.

At first he said he was out of town for two months, but somehow two minutes later in the conversation, he would be out of town for the next three weeks. I told him I could wait for him to come back, but he said my computer would lock up by then and it would be better if I just completely reinstall the recovery discs myself. I asked him if he was he going to reimburse me what I paid him, because that is what I paid him to do. One month later I am still waiting for the check.

What I find appalling is his dishonesty and I find it repulsive that he would rather have a bad review and lose out on possibly thousands of dollars rather than reimburse me for what he should have done right the first time. I also question why I had to make both checks payable to REHL instead of the name of his company.

My name is Yvette Hayes and I am a hones business owner. If I am ever reimbursed, I will update my complaint/review. FYI, basically if your computer locks up just do the reinstall yourself. If he had just asked me for the discs, I would have happily provided them. I will say that on the second computer, he left Vista as it was; he simply deleted all the programs I had on the computer. I am just grateful that is all he did.
