Grumpy owner and clean enough store with the usual gas station grocery items. His daughter works there as well and she is more friendly. Also he cheers up when you ask him about how his daughter is doing. I can't imagine that it's easy to run a practically 24/7 business. Also he is not native to the US so it's really not fair to judge him by American ideas of how social and friendly a convenience store operator should be. Perhaps in his own country he would be regarded as remarkably friendly and outgoing.
