I was treated as if I was a pariah by the PT in charge and by her underlings on my first therapy session Sandra who ignored me as if we had a personal problem and were involved: I had been a patient there initially in 2003 my physical disability was never addressed properly by her whenever she was in charge.
It was my fifth time as a patient there and her behavior was uncalled for she ain’t qualified to do psychology on anyone but herself!

I found Bridgett Barnett has helped me alot. Her assistants are very helpful also. Having therapy in a pool is excellent. I recommend it to everyone.

Very Disappointed- my elderly Parent was prescribed Aqua Therapy to help regain balance and mobility after back surgery.
The first session left much to be desired. There was no "orientation" of any kind- no one asked if he/she could swim ( they can't) and the water was "hot" (a concern for someone with high blood pressure) and the water level was up to the chin. No device was furnished for flotation, and the "instructor" who was not a Physical Therapist but an Aide, who pointed from across the room, to the stairs, and says "get in the pool"- no assistance. It seemed no one was prepared to get in the pool to assist, and no one got in the pool, and no one was in swim gear of any kind. They asked for a maneuver that appeared unsafe, as the patient couldn't swim. How scared is a patient supposed to be, when they are seeking help to recovery from their injury, and no one has explained what is going on, or what is expected? In my opinion for the initial session the patient should be physically guided into the pool, with a hands on experience with a physical therapist so they feel safe. When health professionals observe fear, panic and disorientation, the situation needs to be re-evaluated and more help should be provided to maintain safety and security. This is the business they are in- is this is not self-serve physical therapy. Where was the Physical Therapist? In my opinion, if you are impaired, bring a loved one with you for safety.
