Tuffy Auto Service Centers

I have had a lot of problems with this Tuffy first on my Camaros intake manifold gasket, the mechanic left a rag in the manifold and all of a sudden my oil pressure went to zero on the freeway. Sure accidents happen and the issue was taken care of but at what damage to the engine?. And did they reuse the gaskets? Who knows.

Second issue they replaced the water pump on my Ranger and now I have tons of gasket materiel floating around in my engines coolant, I back flushed it and ran distilled water through it 3 times driving a few days with just water then drain and refill but since water does not hold particles in suspension and they just sink to the bottom, I found that out after filling with new coolant at a cost of $38.00.

I still have tons of chopped up gasket materiel in my coolant, draining and straining it through cheese cloth and draining, straining and flushing out the reservoir bottle is not working either!

So I had to install a coolant filter system at a cost of $124.00 2 days ago, I have been dealing with this all summer and just don't trust Howard's mechanics anymore so will not be going back not after this debacle. I have lost trust in them.

When a mechanic scrapes off the old gasket and lets the particles fall into the engine then it compromises the small coolant passages throughout the engine, are any plugged up now? will this cause any future problems?. In my opinion this place is only good for simple oil changes, exhaust systems, tire rotations etc. Don't rely on these mechanics for anything major.

I had my daughters truck in there the other day. A ford explorer, and I have to say they did an absolute great job. I have never been happier with an auto repair facility. The truck has never drove better then it does now. Thanks!!

Do not ever go to this place. I have used this place 3 times and regret every one of the so called repairs. The last time I went there they didn't fix the original problem, and had me replace a good part so they could make some extra money. Crooks and bad mechanics too boot. They had the vehicle for 2 days and charged me over $600, and fixed nothing. It ran worse when I got it back, then when I dropped it off. I took it too another place and had it fixed for $100, and they informed me the part I had replaced worked fine. They switched out my old part for the new one, and it worked fine. I had to take back the new part to Tuffy and deal with that idiot manager Howard, what a moron. Had to threaten a lawsuit to get a refund, and then he wouldn't refund the labor for installing the part I didn't need, what a joke. this place should be shut down, save your money and take it somewhere else.

would never go back the people who work there are awful if you want your car or truck fixed dont go there .only will work on it if they like you.
