Dandy Dogs With Happy Paws

My Wheaton Terrorist as I affectionately call him has been rejected by countless groomers since our Groomer quit a few years ago. I cut him but I am certainly not a professional. Lorena was brave enough to meet with Wheatie and take the time to develop a relationship with him. On the day of grooming I did not know what to expect but he turned out beautifully. He was transformed into a beautiful Wheaten. He came out calm and looking so good I almost cried. Not many would take the time to figure out why a dog is so scared of groomers but I am thankful Lorena did. I highly recommend Dandy Dogs.

Thumbs up to Dandy Dogs and Lorena Robinson! This pet spa is located in a very non descript strip mall on Atlanta rd near the intersection of Atlanta rd and Cumberland Pkwy (E/W Connector). My dry cleaner is in the same development. I would never have known about this pet spa if it wasn't for the fact my dry cleaner was a couple doors down. Its like a hidden gem. One day after picking up my cleaning I figured I'd stop in to Dandy Dogs (I think the sign just says "Pet Spa") just to check the place out and see what they would charge to groom my golden retriever.



Immediately after walking in I was taken back by how personable Lorena (the owner and groomer) was. The environment is lofty. It's just one big open space with small areas for the nice dogs to just be free and an open air pen style section for dogs that might need timeout or just a little down time. The place is clean, smells good and there is classical music playing in the background.



Lorena started by asking questions about my dog. She shared details on her technique, the materials she uses to groom and bathe (including the fact that she uses as many natural and organic/ non chemical items as she can). She even discussed how she does some sort of blueberry mask facial on the dogs so as to avoid getting any shampoos around their eyes.



What I really liked is that the whole time she was telling me about her services, the dog she was grooming (a bichon) was just sitting in her lap looking at her like she was some sort of dog whisperer. Lorena was loving all over the dog in such a genuine way the whole time we spoke. At that point I honestly didn't care about what the ultimate punch line was re: her cost. I knew I wanted to schedule an appointment.



Finally when she told me her costs I was literally shocked. Her price for a regular groom was about 30% less than what we were paying another local groomer.



Earlier this week we had our dog groomed with Lorena. She did an amazing job and just like that little bichon, our golden was just so happy when we picked her up. It was like she truly had a day at the spa.

Lorena does an amazing job. The salon is clean and peaceful and I love bringing my dog here! I have been to several places in Atlanta and none of them come close to Dandy Dogs!

This is the cleanest grooming salon I have ever been in. Lorena and her staff are very concerned about my shih tzu. She is an older dog and is very set in her ways. Lorena goes out of her way to make her feel secure and happy while she is being groomed. I am always happy with her haircut and so is she as she struts out of the salon saying look at me.

Lorena has started a senior citizen discount and it is greatly appreciated as I am a senior on a fixed income. I recommend this salon highly.

We love Dandy Dogs!! Our Khloe has been going to this spa since we had her and Lorena and her staff always do a great job with her grooming and care! She always is friendly and has her ready at the appointed time!

This is the best grooming place I have ever taken my long haired chihuahua. They don't put the dogs in cages, instead they have many play pens with chew toys, blankets, water, etc... The play pens are in the room with people, not in some back room. I think this helps the dogs feel more comfortable. The salon is spotless and never smells like dog, or even chemicals. Lorena is wonderful and truly cares about the pets! My little pup comes home clean, cute, and happy all for one low price (plus a tip!!)

Dandy Dogs is my yorkie's FAVORITE place to go! The owner Lorena Robinson keeps "Lacy" when we go out of town or just for her to have a "play-date" with the other dogs. Dandy Dogs is reasonably priced and I am ALWAYS satified with Lacy when I pick her up!

Lorena truly cares about all dogs and takes great pride in her work. She is very professional and genuinely loves what she does and is great at it!

I wouldn't dare take Lacy anywhere else!

I experience Lorena as very kind and a safe person who makes my dog feel safe with her. She is very considerate of my dog's needs and mine, deeply attuned to what is best for my dog, committed to integrity in her work and in her words.

Her genuine love for all dogs is evident with the time she takes to make the dogs comfortable. It is a pleasure to watch her loving care for each dog.

I also appreciate the time she takes to be thorough in knowing what each dog needs.

The place is warm and welcoming and each person who works there is caring and concerned for the dogs' well being and they all give the best care and respect.

I have seen her with others and all receive genuine caring and respect.

I believe the person who gave Lorena and Dandy Dogs a bad review totally misunderstood. Lorena's character is loving, respectful, caring, honest, and responsible and consistent.

I cannot put in to words how wonderful Dandy Dogs is!. Lorena(the owner) is the only groomer who has been able to cut my short hair Havanese properly. She is the only person I trust my dog with and we have been and will be loyal customers. I HIGHLY recommend Dandy Dogs with Happy Paws to anyone who wants a groomer who is trustworthy, friendly, professional and who really cares about the overall well being of your pet (A.K.A. baby). She is only satisfied if you and your are happy. Before Lorena I have tried every groomer in this Smynings area and by far Dandy Dogs is the Best!!!
