Dental Examination
Every full dental exam may be slightly different based on the patient’s situation. However, most full dental exam services include dental X-rays, an oral examination, a check for signs of oral cancer, and a teeth cleaning and polishing.
X-rays
Oral Cancer Screening
During an oral cancer screening exam, your dentist looks over the inside of your mouth to check for red or white patches or mouth sores. Using gloved hands, your dentist also feels the tissues in your mouth to check for lumps or other abnormalities. The dentist may also examine your throat and neck for lumps.

Teeth Cleaning

I have had a lot of dental work completed on me over the years. I am very apprehensive about going to the dentist. Some of my experiences have not been great. However Patrick Family Dental is one of the best I’ve been to. I have had cleanings, a crown replaced and a partial completed there in the last 6 months and each time I went I was met by smiling happy staff. My hygienist is Jenny. She is awesome. Makes you feel right at ease and my teeth feel great after her cleanings. Dr. Leslie is also awesome. It’s like she is artistic as a dentist. She is always cheery and caring in her work. I was amazed and completely happy with my recent crown work and partial creation. All of the support staff are engaged and happy. So when you go you will feel right at ease. I needed that. My husband needed that. I am glad I chose Patrick Family Dental when we moved to Smyrna. I highly recommend them. This will be my dentist office for life no matter where I live.
