Franklin Animal Shelter

I got the best dog in the world, from the franklin animal shelter. his name is Howie he is a terrier mix. the shelter is very clean and well taken care and so are animals there. I would get a dog from them any time. thank you for giving me Howie. I love him so much, he is my best buddy.

I must rewrite my review I am the one who write a review on how great the facility was and is after reading the first review. I as in the wrong web sit I was referring to Second Chance Clinic in Somerset NJ this place is wonderful!!!! I am not aware of the shelter's conditions and if the first review is true. This facility must step up and take better care of the facility because if the place is not kept clean what are the conditions and care for the ANIMALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was very shocked by the first review. I have been taking my dog for the last 1 1/2 years and every visit was up to great standards, very clean and no bad smells as per the first review! Any animal facility will have some odors!!. The staff was wonderful as always and the care and treatment of my dog has always been great! My last visit was in July 2014 and if something has changed since than I am not aware. I am on my way today Sept 2014 and if what the first review is true I will be the next one to advise / alert if facility is not up to good standards.

The voulnteers were very nice, but the actual place was filthy and smelled very bad. There was dog feces in some of the dogs cages and feces in the aisle. They need to do a better job of keeping the shelter cleaner. I nearly became sick with the overwhelming bad smell.
