Mel's Restaurant

My husband and I decided to stop at Mel's last evening to listen to a local band. The cover charge was reasonable, however, drinks become more expensive when the band played. We were not happy with this "switch" in price! We concluded that the price increase in drinks was to off-set the price in the cover charge. The bar service was not good! What surprised my husband and I was that the patrons could smoke and bring drinks onto the dance floor! These are not good business practices since these actions are pending hazards (I.e. Slipping on spilled drinks and possible cigarette burns! Mel's is not a class act bar/restaurant. It is for the local yokos! If you want to visit a dirty dive and patrons are unsophisticated, then Mel's is the place to go!
