Dental Examination
All patients under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian. Fillings
Crowns
When undergoing root canal treatment, the inflamed or infected pulp (what is commonly referred to as “the nerve”) is removed, and the inside of the tooth is carefully cleaned, disinfected, and filled. This may take one or more visits. Afterward, you will return to your dentist for a restoration, such as a filling or a crown. Sometime after treatment is completed, our office will contact you to schedule an appointment to check on the healing. There is no fee for this short but important follow-up visit. Occasionally, normal healing does not occur. Fortunately, there are additional treatments available to address these issues.

Root Canal Treatment
With proper care, teeth that have been treated with root canal therapy are able to last as long as other natural teeth. Sometimes a tooth that has received endodontic treatment develops post-treatment disease. In those instances, retreatment may be advised.
Apicoectomy
Sometimes, surgery may be necessary to treat root surfaces and bone around the root that has not healed. The most common surgical procedure is called an apicoectomy. If inflammation or infection persists in the bone around the end of your tooth after a root canal procedure an apicoectomy may need to be performed.
