Tru Salon And Day Spa

TRU-ly disastrous!!!! I went to Tru Salon for a keratin treatment and the stylist totally ruined my hair. I have long, highlighted hair and have been getting these treatments done for the past three years, without any issues.....until I went to this place!! The stylist did not have enough experience when performing the service on highlighted hair and had the flat iron on too high of a temperature. I did mention to her that when I ve gotten this service done in the past, the flat iron needed to be adjusted to a lower temp. based on the fact that I have highlighted hair. She told me don t worry, I know what I m doing . Obviously, she didn t because when I got home after the service I noticed my hair was totally fried on the ends. I figured I would wait the full 24 hours (as needed with the treatment) to wash and dry my hair to see the final result. The next day after washing my hair, I noticed it only had gotten worse.



I called the salon to speak to the manager to see what could be done to try and fix it. I was told that the manager would not be back in the salon until Tuesday (I called on a Saturday) and I would have to wait to speak to her. The girl on the phone told me that this has happened before at the salon and offered me another keratin treatment to try and fix the problem. I told her that I wasn t comfortable with anyone else touching my hair because they already messed it up once! Sorry but putting more chemicals on a client s hair would not solve the problem anyway at that point.



Finally after waiting 4 days to speak to the manager, she offered me a refund. She also informed me that she would speak to the stylists that do these treatments to remind them of the necessary adjustments that need to be made when performing the service on highlighted hair.



I do appreciate the fact that the this place took ownership of their mistake and gave me my money back but it does not really fix the problem since my hair is now totally damaged, dry, and frizzy all of the time (the total opposite of what a keratin treatment is intended for!). Do yourself a favor and DO NOT GO HERE FOR A KERATIN TREATMENT. They have destroyed my hair and according to their own employees this has happened before to other clients...need I say more????
