f you are looking for a new dentist or afraid to go to the dentist, this is the best place to get started. Dr. Dano is so sweet and calming, she makes you feel comfortable and explains everything clearly. The office is bright and clean and modern and the staff is wonderful too. Highly recommend.

X-rays
Digital radiography (digital x-ray) is the latest technology used to take dental x-rays. This technique uses an electronic sensor (instead of x-ray film) that captures and stores the digital image on a computer. This image can be instantly viewed and enlarged helping the dentist and dental hygienist detect problems easier. Digital x-rays reduce radiation 80-90% compared to the already low exposure of traditional dental x-rays.

Teeth Cleaning

Dental Sealants
A sealant is a thin, resin coating applied to the chewing surface of molars, premolars and any deep grooves (called pits and fissures) of teeth. More than 75% of dental decay begins in these deep grooves. Teeth with these conditions are hard to clean and are very susceptible to decay. A sealant protects the tooth by sealing deep grooves, creating a smooth, easy to clean surface.

Fillings
Although studies indicate that there are no measurable health risks to patients who have silver fillings, we do know that mercury is a toxic material when we are exposed at high, unsafe levels. For instance, we have been warned to limit the consumption of certain types of fish that carry high levels of mercury in them. However, with respect to amalgam fillings, the ADA maintains that when the mercury combines with the other components of the filling, it becomes an inactive substance that is safe.
Veneers
Dr. Dano is more than a dentist. She is an artist and a sculpture. After my dentist retired I made an appointment to see Dr. Dano because one of my veneers shattered. I thought it would be a matter of snapping the old veneer off and simply replacing them. But Dr. Dano made sure that the teeth accepting the Veneer where the perfect shape so that they would be no movement which would cause the Veneer to snap over a period of time. She is a true professional, competent in all aspects of dentistry. I have found my New dentist!
Crowns
A crown is a tooth-colored, custom-made covering that encases the entire tooth surface restoring it to its original shape and size. Crowns protect and strengthen teeth that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations. Dentures
– Brush at least twice a day with an ADA approved fluoride toothpaste and toothbrush. Floss daily to remove food debris and plaque from in between the teeth and under the gumline. Brush or use a tongue scraper to clean the tongue and reach the back areas. Replace your toothbrush every 2 to 3 months. If you wear dentures or removable bridges, clean them thoroughly and place them back in your mouth in the morning.
