        I asked Troy to come and look ...

        I asked Troy to come and look at my father's collection (he was professor emeritus of History at Stanford), and I was very pleased by his advice on how to dispose of the collection. After also consulting with other book dealers in the Bay Area I ended up consigning the books through Academico because Troy was obviously the most knowledgeable of the dealers I had dealt with, and his consignment scheme allows my father to get a reasonable return for his books (a lifetime's library is a treasure to be taken seriously). Academico offers a great service, and Troy took our needs quite seriously. I will be recommending them to anybody who asks!

        A great place to sell your old...

        A great place to sell your old books, not a place to buy books. I was trying to find a place to take my grandmothers book collection. I heard about their June book buying event and got a fair price for them.
