Twelve years ago, I purchased three 16x12 roll-ups for a shop I built and was very pleased with their pricing and service. But, what they did this weekend was exceptional...making two dedicated customers.

A neighbor lady shredded the gears in her 1993, 1/3-HP LiftMaster opener, so I had her purchase the rebuild kit and I put it in. I wanted to make sure all was good, so I took the open case to Thompson for their approval. It was all correct, but, in moving the parts around, the main board contacted the chassis. Sparks flew, and the main board was fried.

Without a second's hesitation, they gave me a new board to take with me. Now, it's 5:pm on Friday. I went home, swapped the board, and thought that would be the end of it. Turns out, after messing with it for a while, some other stuff must have fried because nothing else worked. After dinner, I called Thompson to see if their after-hours message would indicate their Saturday hours. To my surprise, they answered the phone and spent 20 minutes with me trying to debug.

On Saturday, I took the old unit, with all the old parts, into their shop. After messing with it for a few minutes, the manager decided to give us a new head unit.

People, this is a group of great folks that put customer service first. In today's business environment, it's so refreshing to find a reputable company that does what's right. They did all this as the result of doing me a favor. Outstanding.
