We offer traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine for all animals. Acupuncture, Herbology, Nutrition, Massage, Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation (VOM), Integrative Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Rosemarie Asterino received her DVM from Washington State University in 1986. After completing an avian/exotic and small animal internship, she joined an avian/exotic animal specialty practice in southern California. During that time she also served as staff veterinarian for Pacific Wildlife Project in Laguna Niguel and interim staff veterinarian for Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach. In 1992, she purchased a small animal practice in South Carolina where she developed one of only three avian/exotic and small animal practices in upstate South Carolina at the time. In 1995, she became certified in veterinary acupuncture by the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society and has practiced integrative medicine since that time. Dr. Asterino is certified in Chinese herbology, veterinary tui-na and Chinese food therapy by the Chi Institute of Chinese Veterinary Medicine and China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She has been an instructor for the Chi Institute since 2002. I really believe in an integrated approach, theres really so much out there that can benefit the health of animals. I work with peoples regular veterinarians. I review their X-rays and reports and take time to understand and weave it all together.
