Overall

If I could give it zero stars I would. We had over $200 worth of merchandise stolen in one month. This made us decide to go elsewhere.

The items we had stolen were not smalls they were drills grinders and a 2x4 antique mirror. The only way these items could be stolen was one, just walk out the door with them, 2, have a large purse which I have seen many, or 3, other vendors are stealing from booths. The security system is a joke. Vendors mart needs to train better. The employees are fine but it seems to be management's problem. I would not recommend having a booth at Vendors mart.

Overall

Vendor's Mart claims no liability for damaging property once sales are completed. This store sells a lot of furniture. Once you purchase furniture, unless you immediately retrieve it from the premises they move it from their show room. They also help you load your furniture onto your vehicle unless you specifically tell them to leave your furniture alone.



I bought a living room set on 10/30/15, invoice 569849, item number 825. It included a $50.00 chair, $75.00 loveseat, and a $100.00 couch. When the staff loaded the couch onto my truck (without my expressed permission) one of the staff-members shoved the piece of furniture without lifting it and snapped the rear right couch leg off. At that point I asked to speak with a manager. Allegedly, there was no manager working at that time, so the staff-member wrote a note for them to read later. I was to return Monday to discuss the damages. I chose to leave the furniture set at the store and refused to touch any piece of it after the staff broke it. I also informed them that I was no longer interested in buying any of the three piece set since the couch was broken and the purpose of buying the set was to have a matching living room set.



When I returned the following Monday the manager on shift was distracted by her phone when called to speak to me. She wrote down my information and remarked, "I'll call the owner, but I don't think she will do anything for you. I will call you tomorrow."



Tomorrow came and I received no call. I went back to the store twice, being told I needed to speak to "Melanie." When I finally spoke with Melanie she was completely unsympathetic and blamed me for allowing their staff to break my furniture. "We can not be accountable for every little thing that breaks in our store," is what she told me. I informed her that I didn't believe it was fair to break a patron's purchased goods and then not compensate them. She retorted that it wasn't fair to make the store's employees move my furniture and then get upset when they break it. I want to stress that I did not give them consent to touch my furniture. I even had a friend with me that day to help me move it and I can call on him as a witness to the indecent.

The workers and manager are all kids. They know nothing and really bad management.

If you are a vendor over there, they will change the rule whenever they want and push you around.

The checking the lock of display cases policy was horrible. I went there and found out my display case was unlocked !

There is not enough traffic in there to make money. Kept paying rent but make nothing out of it !

Overall this is the worst flea market I have worked with ever.
