General Info
Valco started in 1972, buying and selling steel sheets and coils, and grew into the OEM, metal fabrication business. It was developed from its proximity to International Harvester Company in Springfield, Ohio. It began as a supplier of special equipment, rework and low run productions. Its strength was fast set-up and quick response time. By 1974, they incorporated, and began to design, manufacture and rework material handling racks for International, Ford, Honeywell and Honda. In 1979 Valco moved into its new manufacturing plant at 6901 Urbana Road, adjacent to the Navistar/International plant, and added equipment including state-of-the-art CAD laser cutting and tube bending equipment to compliment its cadre of CNC break presses, punches and shears. In 1984, Valco expanded into its second building on Urbana Road and added a new milling center and increased its welding and painting capabilities. In 2002, Valco was purchased by Edward Leventhal who is the current owner and President. Throughout its growth over the past 35 years, Valco s strength continues to be its ability to maintain flexibility and respond quickly to customer needs. Valco has recently moved to a new and larger location at 625 Burt Street in Springfield, Ohio and improved it s capabilities with new equipment ( Trumph laser and tube bending ) to compete in a fast changing industry.
