        Need an attitude adjustment or vacation away from the Dolphin

        I think spring breakers really tore up the Dolphin Resort because it is clear the staff have just had it. My family was treated poorly by the outdoor bar, Flippers, by a man in his late 40's, He was rude and never thanked you for a tip. There was no place to sit in the shade and he asked us to leave since we brought our own water! We had already spent money on his rum runners (they were still in our hands) but that's didnt' matter. An older woman approached my daughter and her girl friendswhile they were laughing and having fun in a very bitter, rude, accusatory tone verifying if they were guests of the hotel. Unbeknownst to her, we were spending a week there in one of their most expensive rooms. She could have asked nicely but,...no the bitterness continues. The hallways did smell like smoke although I never saw anyone smoking. The cleaning staff was friendly and their work was appreciated. Although, my coffee pot was only cleaned every other day for some reason. The front desk folks were friendly and helpful when our keys didn't work. Overall I thought the place was okay. The beachfront room with patio is nice however, for the price, I would expect better linens, a blanket that isn't falling apart, sheers that aren't nearly shreadded, removal of the popfcorn ceiling,...a general update.



        I would stay here again but I would never go to the pool bar if that old grouch is working there. He needs to get a life.

        This was the most beautiful room overlooking the Gulf. I just loved it and would recommend it.
