Louie's Continental Unisex Hair Cutting

I've been going to Louie's for many years now and I ALWAYS get the cut I asked for. Louie offers a very generous senior discount for those 65 and older, something that I've never seen or heard of anywhere else. The place is clean and has a very friendly atmosphere where all the hair cutters are cordial and very accommodating. For me, this is the best Barber Shop I've ever been to in my 30 years on the Island. When Louie opens back up after this lock down you can rest assured that all CDC protocols and guidelines will be observed and you will have a safe virus free environment to get your hair cut. After me of course, I'll be first in line!

my experience was Saturday the 21st. they had to close due to corona the next day.l They told all customers they had to cut extra short cause they might be closed awhile . But guys were leaving almost bald some with holes including me. one on left side. my brother was cut down to skin behind ears, totally inexcusable. it was get em in get em out, they were slipping with machine. please do not go there once this situation is over. I will go to strand barber shop on nelson ave great kills when this is over .always been the best.been there over 40 yrs, went there when me and family used to go there.

i've never heard of any racism at Louie's Continental, in fact it's quite the opposite. although the majority of patrons are caucasian there are people of every ethinicity. as far as questions about where someone may be from i believe the nature of the people at that barbershop is to get to know about their clientele on a personal level. i know two barbers there (Louie included) that have 40+ years worth of loyal customers. they seem to be interested in building valued relationships not just a paying customer. great hair cuts and great people, from the barbers to the other patrons i have made friends with over the years. old school neighborhood barbershop that reminds me of brooklyn!!!

Lou and his son have cut my hair for around 3 years. They now cut my 4 yr old sons hair. Kids sometime have a tough time sitting still but these guys were very patient. I have also had my 7 year old daughter get her hair cut there also. What you get here is value. Great haircuts better people. Lou is just one of those guys who you want to give your business to. Go ask him what he does for people in need. People who can't get out of the house. He wont tell you how he goes out of his way for people rather he doesn't look for praise for it. How about the guy who has been unemployed and was going on a job interview and Lou gave him a free haircut because he was short money. That's why he will always have my business and why he deserves a chance to earn yours. Thanks Lou for giving my family quality haircuts affordable prices when things are tough for everyone.
