Dental Examination
During the comprehensive dental exam, Dr. Salah records necessary information to provide a thorough diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment plan. The doctors then analyze the results and consult with the patient. We encourage patients to have this visit to understand the findings of the dental exam, our recommendations, prognosis and course of treatment.
X-rays
Although we are not a party to the contractual arrangement with your insurance company, we do want to help you receive the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled. As a convenience to you, we will process your insurance claims in order for you to receive the maximum benefit. We will also gladly provide dental x-rays and a written diagnostic report should your insurance company have any questions about the services provided.
Oral Cancer Screening
NOTE: If you are a tobacco or smokeless tobacco user, you greatly increase your chance of developing oral cancer. More than 8,000 deaths were attributed to oral cancer in the last year, and we feel it is our duty to help prevent this deadly disease. We provide oral cancer screenings during all preventive care appointments.

Teeth Cleaning
A teeth cleaning is essential for protecting your teeth and preventing tooth decay, cavities, and gum disease. Dr. Salah or one of our dental hygienists will remove plaque, tartar, and bacteria buildup on your teeth. During the process, we may also perform preventive measures, such as fluoride toothpaste, to help you maintain clean teeth and quality dental health.
Fluoride Treatment
More commonly known as a routine or regular dental cleaning, oral prophylaxis cleaning is an annual dentist appointment to keep your mouth clean. It helps prevent cavities, tartar buildup, and gum disease. A typical cleaning can include an x-ray, flossing, and fluoride treatment, among other routine dental examination procedures.
Dental Sealants
Tooth decay and children no longer have to go hand-in-hand. At our pediatric dentistry office, we are most concerned with all aspects of preventive care. We use the latest in sealant technology to protect your childâ€™s teeth. Sealants are space-age plastics that are bonded to the chewing surfaces of decay prone back teeth. This is just one of the ways we will set the foundation for your childâ€™s lifetime of good oral health.

Fillings
Until recently, silver amalgam was the material most often used to restore decayed portions of your teeth, especially back teeth. Unfortunately, silver dental fillings can really darken a smile, and amalgam, by its very nature, can cause damage to your tooth in the long run. Amalgam fillings absorb moisture and expand and contract with heat and cold. So, as the filling ages, it can fracture your tooth; weâ€™ll then need to place a porcelain crown on your tooth to save it. Also, silver fillings often undergo metal fatigue, corroding and leaking over time. This destroys the protective seal of the dentalÂ filling and allows new decay to develop underneath it. This leakage can give a gray appearance to the entire tooth.
Resin Composite
Inlays and onlays are used to replace your silver filling. These restorations are usually made from composite resin material, porcelain or gold. Once placed, they are virtually undetectable in the mouth, and they conserve much of your natural tooth structure.
Veneers
Dental veneers are a thin shell of porcelain or plastic that is bonded to a tooth to improve its color and shape. This generally covers only the front and top of a tooth. These can be used to close spaces between teeth, lengthen small or misshapen teeth, or whiten stained or dark teeth. When teeth are chipped or beginning to wear, these can protect them from damage and restore their original appearance.
Crowns
To get to the infected tooth pulp, weâ€™ll make an opening through the top of the crown down into the pulp chamber. In some cases, we may have to remove the entire crown in order to access the pulp chamber. Weâ€™ll then use a tiny tool called a dental file to carefully remove the infected tissue and shape the root canals to receive a filling material.

Dental Bridges are useful as corrective measures for things such as after an accident or for serious dental decay. These restorations are generally made of porcelain or a composite material and are used to replace missing teeth, they are used as a method by which to not only restore your bite but also to create a pleasant smile.
