Quality & Compassionate Elder Care Woodlands Home Health Care in Tkoma Park, Maryland, provides respite care for elderly and disabled patients. We also provide home health aides and other caregivers so that your loved one can continue to live in their own home while having the help they need. Our services include: Home Health Aide (HHA)Home health aides, under the direction of an RN, help patients with activities of daily living, such as getting in and out of bed, walking, bathing, toileting, and dressing. They can assist with catheter care, range of motion exercises, taking of temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration. HHAs do not take the place of the patient's primary caregiver. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA)A CNA works under the direction of a Nurse. A CNA is certified by the state after completing a training program and passing a state certification test. A CNA is trained to take vital signs and then communicate findings with the patient's nurse. Part of a CNA's duties is to assist patients with meal preparation for special diets, all personal care activities such as bathing and grooming, non-sterile dressing changes, and exercise. Personal CareOur care providers (HHAs, PCAs & CNAs) under the direction of a registered nurse, provide personal assistance, stand-by-assistance, and supervision or cues for persons with the inability to perform one or more of the following activities of daily living: • Eating • Dressing • Bathing • Toileting • Grooming • Transferring to/from Bed • Transferring to/from Chair • Ambulation • Taking Vitals • Catheter Care • Medication Reminders • Skin Care
