LOVING IT!!!

HI! I Was on the web trying to find a salon to get a full sew in, so i decided to look over some reviews. I ran across skies limited and decided i will try them out. so i stopped in for a free consultation and was very happy for what i heard, made me and appointment came in for the service and was very please. I was welcome in and its was all about me.They was very nice, i got my hair treated and ready to be corn roll down. She braided the braids real small and fused, unlike some salon you go to give you four to five large braids. They was not to tight and when I got the hair in it was flawless, It looked good and felt like my real hair. Before i left she told me how to take care of it . I did just what she told me and it lasted six months. When i took it out i didn't have hair loss it had grown and was still healthy and i still have a hair line. I have got it done for the second time and job still well done. So you have to try them for yourself and trust me you will love it. Remember you can't believe everything you read. I'm glad i didn't cause one thing i no i'll people always put down each other . cause they don't want you to get a good deal, and trust me its not expensive like you may here. So stop hating on skies limited braiding salon.Check them out and you will be truly blessed, I WAS. keep up the GREAT WORK SKIES LIMITED I want go anywhere else THANK YOU SO PLEASE!!!

I could've got my hair done by a student....

I graduated from school in May of 2013 and was looking into going to Skies Unlimited for a sew in. I have never had a sew in before and instead of paying $50 to get a sew in from a beauty school student I paid almost $200 at this place for a horrible, itchy, lazily done sew in. I have lived in Tallahassee for a few years and have been to this beauty supply store a few times, the prices were expensive, but the stylist that I usually saw was pretty nice. Before I got my hair done at the salon I was told to pay a $30 deposit......I should have walked out the door at that time, but didn't(My mistake). When I came I bout the hair and the cap which was pricey and the style itself was way too high. This is a braiding salon which I already knew, but when I sat down in the chair she did not wash my hair she just went right to braiding, Which shocked me, because most of the braiding salons that I have been to; wash, deep condition and blow out your hair before braiding it.( I am natural by the way). Another horrible experience at this salon was that the stylist used a regular comb on my thick hair...I don't know if this is how they regularly handle natural hair, but they need to get some training in combing natural hair( mind you my hair was dry). So she braided the hair, in sloppy cornrow and she added hair........which I had no idea why.. Then she put the sew in on the hair and sprayed some oil sheen and she was done. The only positive thing I can say about this experience was that it lasted 2.5 hours, but after I left I immediately put a hat on. The sew in style looked like a matted wig and was all in my face( I had a full sew in). I have seen pictures and actual people with sew ins and they did not look bad like mine did. Actually imagine a conehead( like from the movie Coneheads) with a wig on.....That's how my hair looked. I wore it to graduation and did not take my cap off at all lol...I still cannot believe they (the stylists, both of them) said my hair look good..Also what mad it worse was that my scalp was itching as if fire ants were in my head. Nothing stopped the itching(I think it could've been that hair that was "so" good our the fact that the stylist handled the cash register and money and whatever right before touching my scalp with those combs and that extra hair to braid into my hair. After I contacted them about the itching the stylist offered to braid my actual hair, but I was looking for my money back....which I didn't get(which didn't surpise me)..You live and you learn. If you live in Tallahassee and want your hair done at an affordable price either learn how to do the style you desire for yourself or find a cheaper place to go( a friend, another salon, etc). ANYWHERE BUT HERE. They definitely don't have my business anymore.C.G

Outstanding Service

Skies Limited has the best braiding service I have ever experience. The salon is pleasant, the service is fast and everyone is always so nice. I have lived in Tallahassee, Dallas, and now Orlando and still over the past 10 years have not come across a braiding salon that is as graceful on the hair as Skies Limited. Keep up the excellence work!!!!
