Granite Construction Northeast is a diversified construction company located in New York. Granite is a subsidiary of Granite Construction, a Watsonville, Calif.-based construction contractor. The company's major customers include the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the Metropolitan Transit Authority of New York and other transportation-related agencies. It was acquired by Granite Construction in 2001. Granite s acquisition of the company established a permanent presence in the New York region. The company has extensive experience in highway and bridge construction. It has completed dozens of new construction projects, as well as highways and bridge rehabilitation projects in the Greater New York City area. Granite Construction Northeast maintains a location in Mount Vernon, N.Y.
