General Info

Established in 1973, East Lake Fire & Rescue is a full-service public safety agency that offers a variety of fire rescue and prevention and public education services to residents in Florida. The agency maintains a fleet of engines, rescue pumpers, water and foam tanks, and ambulances and support vehicles. It maintains specialty and highly trained teams that respond to hazardous materials, explosive ordinance devices, and confined space, dive and high-angle rescue. It supports East Lake C.E.R.T., which is a nonprofit volunteer organization that provides immediate assistance in the times of catastrophic emergencies. In addition, the department receives and responds to request calls for emergency medical assistance. East Lake Fire & Rescue maintains a location in Tarpon Springs, Fla.
