The Community Services Department is a part of the city of Temecula, Calif. It operates recreation, development and maintenance divisions. The department s recreation division plans, programs and implements classes, activities and special events. It offers various health and fitness programs. The department maintains a community recreation center complex that features class and meeting rooms, lockers, and ping-pong and pool tables. The center also features a swimming pool, gymnasium and outdoor amphitheater, as well as a teen room with television and video games. The Community Services Department s development services division is responsible acquisition and development of park sites and solid waste and cable television franchise administration. The department s maintenance services division provides landscape and facility maintenance services for parks, slopes, medians, recreation facilities, and the city administrative offices.
