I did my open water cert here in June of 2011 with Scuba Toys instructors and I thought that CSSP had a great, clean and Safe place to go learn and practice diving.
I have been back on several occasions and thought the people running the place were nice and helpful. From checking in to refilling your air tanks and keeping the rest rooms clean it was good. The one big thing I was told early was to keep your driving speed down, it is not safe for pedestrians and stirs up the dust to speed.

Caution! Do not go to this place. The place is not safe, the scenery is below average even for a Texas lake, and most of all, the owner is a nutcase!
In response to your description to both the owner and the lake......you must not do a lot of Texas diving!!!!!!! Our lake is one of the best lakes in Texas for diving. Not always perfect but, we work very hard to make it a great place. As to the "owner" being a nutcase..If you had to deal with some of the issues with people that come through that gate, you'd probably be worse than he is. Having to deal with people who REFUSE to adhere to the rules and regulations are usually dealt with for the safety of all. You get really tired of those who feel entitled!!! We have rules and regulations that we ask people to follow. If you don't, then you will probably not like anything about CSSP.
