US Army Engineer District

The Army Engineer Campground at Thomson has an excellent view of the Mississippi River and very reasonably priced. We enjoy fishing, bird watching and just taking walks. A small town is located nearby but we have always packed our food supplies before leaving home. The park has always been well maintained and supervised. To launch your boat you'll have to go down river and the water is shallow at the campground site, so bringing it in to the water's edge is difficult without hitting a few rocks.
