It was reopened in 1999 as an assisted living community and became Elmwood Assisted Living at The Shawhan, part of the Elmwood family of senior care and healthcare communities. Once again an anchor of Tiffin's historic downtown, our 53-suite / 66-bed assisted living community is warm and welcoming. Elmwood at The Shawhan offers 24-hour professional nursing, medication administration, a Reminiscence Neighborhood for those with Alzheimer's disease and other memory impairments, Day and Respite Care services, daily activities, fine dining and so much more!
