Sadly this used to be a fabulous place. Great care of animals at reasonable prices. I am referring to the clinic portion, NOT the adoption side. Stray/dropped off cats find me so I started using the clinic services to have the cats evaluated and treated. I never had an issue with unnecessary blood work, testing, extra procedures here until recently. It seems there is a new medical director that came from private practice and needs to go back to private practice. I called to make an appt for the most recent arrival feeling like he might have a tooth/gum infection. He also needed to be neutered!!! The appt took almost 3 hours. The dr and tech were in and out of the room at 25 min intervals. Testing blood and working up a fee sheet. I didn't agree to more blood work on surgery day but at check out was charged for it. This is totally unnecessary. If you choose to use this clinic MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT GETTING RAKED OVER THE COALS!!! This place is a disgrace to their mission statement.

They have a very friendly, helpful, and caring staff. We forgot to bring our cat's papers, so the staff kindly called the adoption center to retrieve her rabies certificate.
Dr. Edwards showed us how to care for our kitten who has an upper respiratory infection. He gave us medicines to kill the infection, stimulate her appetite, and soothe her sore eyes.
The clinic honored our coupon for a free initial visit. An excellent experience.

I agree with Monica. This place is a wonderful experience after the horrible treatment we received from the central Brevard humane society. The SPCA let us adopt a cat without any problems. The staff was very friendly and and knowledgeable about our new feline friend. The adoption facility is immaculate, and the fee was less than what they advertised online.

I cannot understand why these reviews are so terrible. This is by far the best adoption center/clinic I have ever been to. They are the cleanest, friendliest, and one of the cheapest. They have specials regularly and take great care of their animals. Everyone who works there is passionate about what they do and they've never been rude.

I also wish I could give this place 0 stars. I come here EVERY time my dog needs a checkup or his vaccinations and I have never had an issue until today. All I needed was my dog to get a heart worm test, the bordatella shot, and his heartworm medication. They were busy, so when I came in I knew I would be there for awhile, no issue. Well after seeing the vet tech she explained that she would be out in about 8 minutes to tell me the results of the heartworm test. 45 Minutes go by, I am still waiting. People that signed in for a walk in were being checked out BEFORE me. A guy that was waiting as long as I had, walked out...it seems the vet techs were more concerned about going on lunch break then telling me my dogs results and checking me out. I will never again return. Terrible customer service. I honestly should have not even gave them any of my money. DO NOT GO HERE.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I came in a week ago for my bunny to be spayed. I even had a check up appointment before the surgery. The doctor specifically told me when she would be ready for surgery and I scheduled it then. A few months later I went in to drop her off. I was not expecting that they would not give her pain medication, but I disregarded that because I figured she would be given pain meds after surgery at the clinic. When she came home she did not look good. The first few days she did not eat anything, which is normal... but then it progressed. I tried calling the clinic MULTIPLE TIMES. no answer. It even says on the sheet they gave me to call if she did not eat in 24 hours. I took my bunny to a different vet as soon as I could. He told me that she was in need of pain meds, and that she was going into GI statis. (her digestive tract was shutting down) I gave her medication under a different doctors orders, but she died a few days later. I truly believe that the SPCA of North Brevard did something to my bunny by incorrectly doing the surgery, or not paying attention to her during surgery. I know that going to the SPCA does not mean that they will be getting too much personal attention during and after surgery. But what they did is not acceptable. I will tell you that the SPCA of North Brevard does NOT know what they are doing when it comes to rabbits. DO NOT take your small animal to the SPCA. I would hate for this to happen to anyone else.
