Saddlebrook Wash

I had a coupon from this place and needed to get my inspection done so I figured I would try it out. I was pretty impressed. Everyone was very nice and organized. I was in and out in 10 minutes and I even had someone else ahead of me. I would highly recommend this place.

I have been there on several occasions as they are across the street from my neighborhood. The last time I was there was for an inspection after I had replaced a computer in my daughter’s car. This was the last straw.

Even when getting something as simple as an oil change done when no one is in it takes way too long. The reason last time I was there is because the girl running the register was the one changing oil and doing inspections. On a previous trip there with a neighbor we went in for a quick oil change and carwash before a game of golf, we were there for over an hour!! Once the oil change was done there was no one to take the car from there to the wash and after about 20 minutes we went and got it and ran it through ourselves so we could get out of there. Didn’t even wait for them to towel it off…just left.

Every time I have been to Saddlebrook there are not nearly enough people working there. But the last time was it for me. My wife took my daughters car in to get inspected after I changed the computer. She told the guy that I had just changed the computer and needed an inspection. He ran it and it didn’t pass because apparently you have to run it a while before everything resets. He told her that it didn’t pass and she needed to drive it 50 miles. He also told her that she had 2 tries to get it inspected which she interpreted that she had 2 more from this day and is what she told me. After 50 miles I took it back and told them what we are doing and I needed to see if it would pass….so they ran it again and it didn’t pass. I was told that I needed O2 sensors and something else I can’t remember at this time. After that I took it to Autozone to run the codes which is came up with nothing so I took it to Jiffy Lube and a guy ran it for free….which is came up with the exact things that it did at Saddlebrook however the diagnosis was completely different. I was told that it sometimes takes over 100 miles and that it can be checked before inspected so you don’t waste your tries. He also told me to bring it back anytime to check it. They were very knowledgeable and very nice.

After I drove it another 50+ miles I took it back to Saddlebrook because I had already paid for the inspection (same scenario, one person running everything except washing cars). I talked to the same person who had seen it before and she took it in the bay to test it. After about 25 minutes she came to me with the results which is passed….so then she asked me what I wanted to do…to which I replied “put a sticker on it”. This is the point where I found out that they used my 2 tries for inspection testing to see if the computer worked. I had to pay for an inspection again, another $40. What??? I didn’t know that they were running me out of tries testing a new computer. I don’t know how this thing works but after only one time of doing this I would have tested it before I ran an inspection. The guy at Jiffy Lube said that they always test them before they put in the system for inspection to make sure that they are ready. How does this place not know that?

Ok, my sad story but to sum up. I have been there for oil changes, carwashes and inspections. On my wifes inspection somehow a windshield washer nozzle was broken, I had to pay twice for my daughters inspection and I have never had a oil change/carwash that was under 45 minutes. Service is crap and quality is worse. I will never visit this place again. I even wrote them to explain my concerns and I did not get any reply to that letter. I gave them the chance to make right and they didn’t even have the courtesy to acknowledge me.



There is a great hand carwash down the street by Citgo and for inspections and oil changes I will be taking my car to Jiffy Lube on 2920 by Kuykendahl. Saddlebrook is off my radar forever. Too many problems over a long period of time.
