James Boulware Gettys, MD

I am new to the area with multiple medical conditions and of course lousy insurance. My experience with Dr. Gettys and his wonderful nurse Eileen are to be well noted. I called around trying to be seen and their office fit me in right away, I ended up in the office for 2 hours, and then the nurse actually called me with lab results! Not only did Dr.Gettys whom I just met for the first time go over my medical history extensively, he found out what my new problem is and started me on new medication, which I now feel like a new person! I was beginning to think I was loosing my mind. I tell everyone if you don't feel right go see a doctor and see what is going on. I highly recommend this office, they are extremely busy, and you may have to wait, but at least the physicians and nurses do not rush you in and out in a 10 minute appointment. Recently I was actually told while waiting to be seen at an urgent care, that my insurance only covers about 12 minutes of actual appointment time. As we all know this is true, we really do not want to be the one with a 12 minute appointment when no one has any clue what is wrong with you? I will continue to use Dr. Gettys and his staff and I will make sure that all future clients I interact with will know of their wonderful service. Thank you!!!

I have never been in the place but I hope they check out their patients better than they advertise!I was just calling to reschedule a appointment for my grandmother and had to look it up and it was not a pleasant experience!And then when I called I got a recording telling me the office is closed from 12:00 til' 2:00 daily!And no way to leave a message unless you needed emergency care in which you were to call the doctor on call! Calls are getting on my last nerve today.Maybe I will call back to make 2 appointments, one for my grandmother and one for ME! I feel a panic attack coming on! Thank You, ME
