Dental Examination

X-rays
Before your cleaning is complete, one of our dentists will carefully examine your teeth and gums to make sure that they are healthy. We will also check for any signs of periodontal disease, oral cancer, and tooth misalignment issues. If you haven’t had dental X-rays taken in a while, we may recommend that you have them done.

Teeth Cleaning
Most dental insurances will cover up to 2 annual teeth cleanings per year. For patients without dental insurance, we offer convenient and affordable dental membership plans.
Fluoride Treatment
Space Maintainers
If a baby tooth is lost prematurely, a space maintainer is used to keep the space open until the permanent tooth erupts. A band is attached to the tooth next to the empty space, and a wire is extended to the tooth on the other side of the space.

Fillings
Today, bonding also is used as a cosmetic and biocompatible alternative to amalgam fillings, or to protect a portion of the tooth’s root that has been exposed when gums recede.
Resin Composite

Periodontal Surgery
In addition to providing general, preventive, and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Miller is IV sedation certified and brings added services to our practice including wisdom teeth removal, implant placement, periodontal surgery and sedation dentistry.
Deep Cleaning
The treatment involves a combination of scaling and root planing (deep cleaning), new homecare techniques, and frequent dental cleanings and recare appointments. In more severe cases, treatment could also include medication or surgery.

Other times, surgical procedures, such as root amputation can be a viable option for removing an infected or damaged tooth root. In some cases of severe periodontal disease, bone grafting, along with other treatments, may save a tooth that is infected and loose.
