Darrell L. Green, Inc. was established by Darrell and Phyllis Green in 1973 in Tulare, California. The company originated with two power units, two milk tankers and three drivers. Over the last 38 years the company has grown to sixty-eight power units and one hundred various types of trailers. In the beginning, the primary type of hauling consisted of hauling milk from a number of dairies to a Los Angeles creamery. As time has passed, the type of hauling has changed to delivering bulk dairy feed and transferring rubbish to landfills. The employee count has also considerably changed. What began with two drivers as well as Darrell himself driving, has now grown to nearly a hundred employees with office and shop staff included. The company also employs fourteen full time sub-haulers. Currently the company operates from two locations: Tulare, and Sacramento, California. Darrell L. Green, Inc. began primarily as a dairy-oriented business based on hand-shake contracts. We have now become a business with several solid contracts: Sacramento Recycling, BFI, Waste Management, Cargill and Nutrius Feed Supplement to name a few. The company incorporated in 1980 and registered as a woman owned business with Phyllis actively involved on a daily basis. Growth and change is something the company has never feared. As time has passed the company has come full circle. We are once again involved in hauling milk and juice to ten Western States under the name of D.D.G. Transport, Inc.. The business that was started as a dream by Darrell L. Green Sr. is now becoming a legacy for his son Darrell L. Green Jr., who is actively involved in the company.
