Pediatric Care
Our physicians are also teaching physicians with the Oklahoma State University Orthopaedic Surgery students. The Orthopaedic Surgery residents from OSU do monthly rotations through trauma, pediatrics, hand, and spinal surgery. It is not uncommon to see one of our surgeons trailed by one or two residents or for them to visit you during your hospital stay.

The physicians of Orthopedic & Trauma Services of Oklahoma also sponsor and teach the Trauma Fellowship of Oklahoma, a one-year fellowship for residents who have graduated from an accredited orthopedic surgery residency program. The Fellow is a University of Oklahoma College of Medicine employee with University resident benefits. More information about the fellowship can be found at the website HERE.
Reconstructive Surgery
Trauma Fellowship of Oklahoma is a University-based program, for which the primary teaching site is a private hospital with a Level 2 trauma center. With no orthopedic surgery residency at this location, the fellow is allowed the opportunity to participate in any and all cases. The Trauma Fellowship is a one-year program designed to prepare an orthopedic surgeon for a career in orthopedic traumatology and post-traumatic reconstructive surgery, in either a full-time academic setting or private practice. Our program is registered with the OTA, and fellowship positions are filled through the San Francisco Match.
