Underwood Public School provides elementary, middle and high school academic education. It is a consolidated school district that is located in Underwood, Minn., and was established in 1887. The district serves students in grades kindergarten through 12. The district s middle and high schools curriculum includes English, math, geography, civics, sociology, history, science and social studies. It additionally offers courses in Spanish, welding, automation, criminology, graphic arts and computer applications. The district s high schools also provide advanced placement courses in math, environmental science and biology. Underwood Public School organizes various extracurricular activities for its students, such as art, musical concerts, band, choir, theater and poetry classes, and offers the National Honor Society program. The district schools emphasize on active learning, creative writing and communication skills. Additionally, the district s high school provides various sports activities for its students, such as football, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, volleyball and wrestling.
