Overall

Current resident. We moved in right after management was overhauled in July 2013 after apparently the previous ones sucked. We were extremely skeptical, but at the time, had few options. We've been surprisingly happy here. No problems, pleasant people in the office to deal with. The new managers have taken a lot of steps to keep the place nice, everything from regularly power-washing to enforcing no trash all over the place.

On a very serious note, one of the buildings had a massive five this weekend. Investigators believe someone threw a cigarette on a pile of boxes a family had flattened after their new appliances arrived. The management team has kicked things into high gear to help all 18 families involved, even when it came out that several didn't have the mandated insurance (typical for all apartments these days).

The only time I've wanted to move was right after the fire. It's typical to be a bit nervous, and to be upset driving by a bunch of char, and to have a hard time feeling at ease when you can't stop thinking about fire and your home because it was so close.

Otherwise we've been very happy here and have no regrets. When our daughter locked the back bedroom door with our dog in there (upper floor, so no walking through the back door), they send someone out right away, even though the office was closed. Every time we've had a problem, they've handled it, regardless of the time, even when the problem is our own kid being a pain. The residents I've spoken with have been awesome, and the people under us have been very understanding when our daughter, who is autistic, won't settle down at night and starts jumping and slamming herself to the floor. Some kids and teens around here are brats, but that's typical. When the weather's nice, kids play loudly, but didn't we all as kids? They've all been sweet to the disabled child who can't speak well.

I've recommended this complex, and yes, to people I like. We've move here again.

This is the worst apartment complex I have EVER in my life rented with. They did not resolve any problems that were taken to management. There was always an excuse for everything you came to the office about. The staff in the office are extremely rude, and extremely unhelpful. The apartments are extremely noisy and then when we called security, nothing ever got taken care of. The parking is also really bad. When move-out time rolled around, they charged us for cleaning fees that were there because of THEIR maintenance people. They also changed the lock on the doors 5 days early because one roommate turned theirs in early, but told them not to change locks. They didn't care and did it anyway and told me it was my problem. She told me she doesn't have time for it. I would never, ever recommend these apartments to anyone. Leslie and Veronica are two of the rudest people I have ever met.

Overall

Although Riverstone claims that they recently took this property over, they have been there well over a year and a half, and they (the management) are the reason this apt complex is the way it is.

Its like living in Auschwitz, making and changing the rules, or creating new ones, that no one seems to know about.

Once you move into the complex, their true persona comes out, and you are treated like a piece of crap. They are not their for the residents, nor do they have their residents best interests at heart..they are there for their corporation and the bottom money line. At one time it was a great place to be, but not now.

And then when you try to leave, when another apt complex or property management company calls for a reference, they give terrible reviews, including lying if needed. And lets talk about the ridiculeous move out charges, no one and I mean NO ONE, gets their deposits back, this seems to be something company wide, just google Riverstone property management, its across the entire US, and its the same story across the board.

And in closing, the invitation to come into the office and discuss these issues is a damn joke..They become confrontational, especially the Assistant manager, Kay, who has as much business sense and people skills as a toll booth operator. They go out of their way to make you feel horrible and angry.

Do Not Rent from these people...letters have been written to the owners of this complex and also to the local government officials to see what can be done to get these people out of here.

I have only lived here for a month and already want out!! You would think that would be easy since they offer a 30 day move-in guarantee...Not so, when I asked about the guarantee they told me there was no such thing, when I brought the print out from their website proving it they became confrontational and said they would not honor it. There is dog poop everywhere, horrible parking, brown water, fleas, and to top it off I don't feel safe in the parking lot at night, in my short time here I have already witnessed loud and hostile arguments outside my door and many shady people that pull into tenants spots and stay for only 5 minutes at a time. There is also broken window glass where I have to park my second car. Do not rent from these people, they don't know anything in the office and the facility is disgusting.

This is the worst place I have...

This is the worst place I have ever lived. The parking is horrible. The security is awful. My car got stolen twice by a joyrider, and nothing was even done. I can never park anywhere close to my apartment because they don't enforce their parking rules. People who don't live here are always parked in the other spots. Also, they keep coming up with ridiculous rules for no reason. And peoples' dogs leave big piles of their crap right out front of my apt and they don't pick it up. This is a horrible place to live. Do not move here ever. I am telling you as a good citizen. Stay away from Bridge Creek Apartments (formerly Discovery Park).

And they raise the rent ever 6 months to a year.

This place SUCKS!

I have lived here for the past 6 months and please do move in if you like living in a pardon the expression "white trash" complex. There is dog poop all over the court yards, parents out in the court yards w/their children smoking, cussing and yelling at their children. Tenants that are not respectful at all of other people, they smoke and flick their cigarettes ashes on their deck, which in turn goes onto your deck, and plus you get cigarette burns on your personal things! BONUS! Oh and you may even get nasty cigarette water dumped on you from above w/out an apology.

You can hear everything that goes on w/your neighbors. Like hearing the guy upstairs peeing in his toilet, and when your watching tv, the toilet flushing sound is right behind your head. Kids run back and forth on the front stoop, and tell you to f off when you ask the to stop. AWESOME PLACE TO LIVE!

This complex is not worth it trust me! I am counting the days until my lease is up and will NEVER EVER live here again!
