G&S Sporting Goods is a great place to buy fishing and hunting licenses, hand-tied flies and other fishing equipment as well as ammunition, pre-owned rifles and pistols and other sporting goods accessories.



I can personally attest to the efficacy of the flies sold at G&S as I've used them to catch many a trout in the area's lakes and streams. And two of my nieces caught their very first fish (trout of course - a golden and a rainbow) using flies purchased at G&S.



The store has the aura of the hardware stores from times past - a true gem that contrasts very favorably to contemporary big-box stores lacking personality.



G&S also serves as the local "watering hole" for many of Victor's old-timers, including former miners. Many interesting tales can be heard there. And Gus, the owner, has been known to crack more than just a few jokes.



There's always free coffee in the pot and an atmosphere that welcomes. I highly recommend this store.
