Cafe Del Rio

We went for lunch and were all pleased with our choices. After eating delicious salsa and chips, our food came out piping hot.

Delightful owners and staff. They have the magical combination needed for success. We highly recommend this fine restaurant.

My husband and I recently took a trip to Lake Tahoe and stopped in the delightfully tacky town of Virginia City, Nevada. We were only there long enough for two meals....the first of which was at Cafe Del Rio. It was so phenominal that it was also where I had my second meal. Had I been there longer...it would have been where I had my third.



What an incredible find. Loved the simple, contemporary decor inside the thick stone walls. I would sell my soul to the devil for another taste of the Yucatan Enchiladas....crab, shrimp, and artichoke hearts in the most unique sauce I have ever tasted. All this, and a great margarita, too.



I believe I did strike gold in this old west mining town...and it was in the form of an echilada!
