Dede Quality Hair Braiding

I went here asking for simple individual medium sized box braids. First of all there is only ONE braider there. When she spoke slowly and like a baby I should have taken the hint. When she began braiding my hair I asked her "Is that as fast as you can braid"? I am used to most African braiders moving their hands at a fast pace. From 830am-5pm she was still not done.

When it came time for her to dip my ends she used a kettle that was only half filled with water and the water was not hot enough. My ends looked CRAZY!!! I asked her "Do you think this looks good? Would you show others this work and think it is good?" She said she would I just paid and left. I called Amani Hair braiding in White Plains, MD and asked if they could fix my hair. Ms. Julie told me to come in right away. After getting my hair braided ALLLLLLL DAY It took 5 women two ADDITIONAL hours at one time to fix my hair.

They removed gobs and gobs of hair from the previous style that was way too heavy AND they informed me that what I had was not individuals, but cornrows at the top. I was fuming! They finally shortened the hair that was at a ridiculous length removed some of the hair and rebraided it and rebraided the circumference of my head. I will NEVER EVER EVER go anywhere else but AMANI! Please ask for Ms. Julie she will hook you up...tell her Angie sent you!!!

P.S. Come to find out there is a lawsuit pending because this chick burned someone's scalp with the kettle water...ugh I wish I had read the reviews first. Expensive and painful mistake!!!
