Overall

Absolutely ridiculous that this company is even in business - if you can call what they do "being in business".

Our company recently purchased a company that was a client of BMI. We needed them to transfer the domain name of the other company. It is a simple 2 step process. Unlock domain, send request, grant request.

But even getting ahold of anyone is a nightmare!! I have sent a dozen emails, talked to 5 different people on the phone, left voicemails, all over the course of 5 weeks and still have NOT been contacted back by the "person that can handle that". It is 2 clicks. My 9 year old can handle it.

So unprofessional. So unresponsive. And it seems as if they could care less.

DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY!

Overall

Hi, my name is Ruben Bybee and I am the owner of Blue Mountain Internet. We were approached by our friend Millenicom in October to assist with over 1,000 customers that would be losing their service.

We stepped in to HELP with customers that would lose their service.

We are a small family owned business and we usually process 5 to 10 new orders a day. We were deluged with over 100 orders per day.

And after processing about 400 orders, then Millenicom sent another email stating that everything was OK. They thought the gateway situation was resolved.

This email caused 100 people to leave and go back to Millenicom and generated another 200 emails in questions that we simply did not know the answer too.

The hope for Millenicom keeping the gateway was short lived and 5 days later all of the customers lost their service. BMI was given less than 12 hours notice that this would happen.

This left all these customers in a state of frenze. Some came to BMI, then went back to Millenicom, and then wanted to come back to BMI. Some were in the process of moving to BMI.

Additionally all of the BYOD customer devices were locked to the previous account and BMI and no other provider was able to connect these devices.

BMI scurried to order hardware and we did our best, although I know we felt short during this time.

We had orders, cancels, re-orders, re-cancels, and more re-orders. All stacked together, it was a real mess, their is no doubt about that.

We honored every single refund request without question and we are sorry for the hassle of this for all concerned.

I did personally send out 13 emails, one almost every day to all that were affected. Additionally we did use an automated caller to also reach out to try to keep people informed.

At every turn, the customer was given the option to cancel for a full refund. We processed cancels and refunds first.

At the end of the day, we really just wanted the customers to be happy, whether is was with us or with another provider.

I apologize to all those that had a bad experience. We have been in business for almost 20 years and I wish it had been smoother for all involved.

I do NOT recommend!!!

I ordered the unlimited byod broadband internet service from BMI on November 4th, 2013 via their web sight. My credit card was charged $129.99 November 5th with no contact from them concerning any additional information about the device I would be using, etc. I spent almost 2 weeks trying to get my service started. I sent multiple emails because their online chat (with a representative) service was always listed as "Offline". I received a couple of automated messages explaining their equipment was late and that they were having to negotiate for additional service. I only received 2 responses from a tech inquiring about which device I would be using and never heard back from the techs after my response to them. By this time I was beyond upset and had lost over $1,000 worth of income for my home based business. My last email to them was to cancel my order for service and issue me a refund. I would never recommend BMI to anyone!!! Customer service was almost non-existent and inept in what little they do have. I have since returned to my previous provider (Millenicom) despite having to downgrade from unlimited to a 20gb service. Within an hour I heard back from Millenicom and by the next day my new equipment was on the way.
