Alan Barberino Real Estate

In my opinion, Alan Barberino is the Biggest joke there is when it comes to property management. He seems to pride himself on being incompetent at what he does. It would be laughable only if he wasn't doing it with other people's money. He is completely unprofessional, but luckily, he isn't intelligent enough to protect himself from being liable. His office staff is just as ineffective and unprofessional.

This company will take your money, and not uphold their responsibility. My complex is falling apart, and the association and board employ an unlicensed contract to maintain the property. The roofs don't leak, they pour. Rather than address the problem, they postpone the remedy so that unit after unit becomes more damaged. Mr. Barberino is a Realtor, so you would think he'd appreciate keeping the value up on the property attached to his name, but just the opposite... goes to show you what you will be getting in you do business with him.

If you only take advice once this year, run don't walk away from this business... I encourage you to write to the Better Business Bureau, Dept. of Consumer Protection, and State's Attorney's office. All are very responsive, and it gets a rise out of Mr. Barberino.

He needs to be run out of this industry once and for all.

I can't speak for Alan as a real estate agent, but his property management that handles condo associations is abysmal. Don't expect them to contact you upon buying your new condo. No, you'll be expected to contact them when you're wondering just how to go about paying your monthly HOA fees. Which is just an email saying "yeah mail your money once a month to this PO Box"

Alan Barberino has the worst professionalism I've ever encountered. If you have and issue, concern or question expect a reply DAYS later and expect that reply to be short, uninformative and unprofessional. Simple email formality seems to be a foreign thing to him and his office. They don't work with you and your issues and they truly don't care about your quality of life. Avoid doing business or ever communicating with him and his staff, save yourself the aggravation.
