General Info
I started taking on guitar students to earn extra money while working in the Finance Industry. I enjoyed teaching one or two guitar lessons on the weekends and it was great to keep me active. I felt it was rewarding to pass on the knowledge that I had gained from the study of guitar and the experience of playing guitar to those that lacked direction or just needed a "big brother" or "uncle" that knew the ropes and could communicate effectively about how to understand the guitar as an instrument. In 2007, I left the business I was working for and decided to go into business for myself doing something I really enjoyed doing - Guitar Lessons. It took some hard work, but after a few months I had enough guitar students to consider myself a successful guitar instructor.

Services/Products
I teach Guitar Lessons In The Comfort Of Your Own Home (serving Washington, DC neighborhoods, MD and NoVA): * All Ages (from 7 to 70 and beyond) Youths - Adults - Seniors * All Styles: whatever YOU want to learn* Personal Attention of One-on-One Sessions * Flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle * Competitive rates - group discounts available I teach guitar lessons with a method that is more geared towards fun and being able to socialize with music than with theory (at least in the beginning). I find that most of my students appreciate this more than having to go through entire guitar lessons devoted to theory. I have taught students as young as 7 years old and the idea is to keep them interested and vested in completing the current lesson and exploring on their own. Once the music bug has bitten and there is an interest that is driving the student to "soak up" anything and everything that is guitar related, then a traditional teaching program can be put in place to achieve goals.
