        My wife and I were looking for...

        My wife and I were looking for somewhere to temporarily stay as I returned from Afghanistan. Due to the largely overwhelmed housing and hotel market of the Fort Drum area, Davidson's Motel was one of the only places with a vacancy. My wife made our reservations in my absence, and when we learned that my return would be delayed, she attempted to call the motel's management in order to cancel our reservations. The motel staff was not available to answer the phone on the weekend, and therefore could not be reached until the morning of the day our reservation. Even though my wife tried to do the right thing, the motel still decided to charge us for the first night's stay, and when confronted by me after my redeployment, avoided talking to me directly or answering my calls. Davidson's Motel is a classic example of some of the shady business you will run into in the Watertown area, as many have made it their policy to nickel and dime consumers, especially military personnel. Do not do business with this place.

        June 2008 stay- NO STARS

        This was a very bad place. The swimming pool was never in working condition during our stay, the room was not clean, and to top it all off the housekeeper was very disturbing! Our first day there we were approached by her (Jean) and she started crying with her sob story about how they didn't have any money and would like to get out from under the owners beacuse they were mean to her and her husband (who also worked there). Which made us very nervous to leave anything of value in our room while we was gone during the day. Their breakfast consisted of boxed donuts from the bakery up the road. There was one morning the donuts were never even bought/brought to the office. Bad atmosphere to be in. I do not recommend this motel to any one!
