Nutritional Counseling
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our Nutritional Services Department 18 hpw as Head Cook. The ideal candidate will have a strong love of cooking and the ability to cook food according to provided instructions. The candidate will have exceptional customer service and communications skills to ensure high quality patient and family centered care when delivery trays and meeting patients dietary needs. Position duties include but not limited to, checking patient diet orders, preparing food for patients according to approved and established procedures, preparing meals for staff and visitors daily, preparing meals and assisting with set up for hospital meetings, luncheons, and other special functions, delegating duties as appropriate to second cook to provide for efficient preparation and timely service of meals, maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary working environment, following food safety preparation techniques, cleaning working area and equipment, assuring proper storage of clean dishes and cookware and rotating shift and weekend coverage as scheduled by the Nutrition Services Dietician.
