Plantar Fasciitis
Traditional treatment of plantar fasciitis includes rest, anti-inflammatory medication, and stretching exercises. If these methods do not work steroidal anti-inflammatory injections, night splints and use of a walking cast are frequently implemented. Patients who do not respond to non-invasive treatment may find themselves undergoing surgery to release the fascia.

You may come directly to your Physical Therapist and receive an Evaluation and Treatment for any Musculo-Skeletal Injury. Your “Professional” Physical Therapist can treat that acute or chronic shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, neck, back, hip, knee, ankle or foot injury RIGHT NOW. We have the ability to see you for up to 10 Visits within 30 Days. Upon completion of your Physical Therapy Evaluation, by one of our Top Notch Physical Therapists, we will determine your treatment plan and if further diagnostic tools (x-ray, MRI, etc) are needed to ensure proper care, Professional will communicate our findings with the MD of your choice. If treatment is required beyond 10 Visits or 30 days, Professional will communicate our care to your doctor.

Hayley graduated from Sage Graduate School with a Doctorate of PT. She also received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Rhode Island. For her four years at URI, Hayley was a collegiate D1 athlete in Track and Field. For this reason, Hayley has a strong passion for orthopedics and sports rehabilitation. In addition, Hayley has completed clinical internships in variety of sports orthopedic and pediatric settings that focused on treating children with developmental disabilities. She has been trained to treat all her patients with a hands on approach and looks forward to helping individuals reach their goals, no matter how big or small they may be. Lisa has deep family roots in the Greene County community and adds a sincere hometown feel to Excel Physical Therapy. She is a graduate of Maria College in Albany, leaving one of the region’s finest educational institutions with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy. Lisa has extensive experience in her field working in a diverse mixture of settings including acute care, geriatrics, wound care and head injury facilities. A thorough medical history including description of symptoms and physical evaluation must be completed to determine a treatment plan. Supplemented with exercise and patient education, manual therapy is an effective way to treat and ease the discomforts associated with pregnancy. Soft tissue and cranialsacral techniques are aimed to ease muscle tension and ligamentous strain which will also allow greater flexibility of the pelvis and abdomen during labor, and can help the mother with a quick recovery. Plantar Fasciitis
Heel and foot pain is most commonly caused by inflammation of the plantar fascia. The plantar fascia is the tissue along the bottom of your foot that connects your heel bone to your toes. This painful stabbing or burning condition is called plantar fasciitis. Pain is most often worse in the morning because the fascia tightens overnight. The pain usually diminishes as the fascia stretches out, however it will return after long periods of standing, after getting up from a seated position, of after exercise. Left untreated, plantar fasciitis may become a chronic condition and will impact your activity level as well as cause further problems in other areas of the body.
