Bill Baker is the worst guitar tech I've ever used. Going to him cost me money to fix the problems he created. Stay far away for this hack.

Both Bill (guitars) and Dave (amps) do a superb job for a very reasonable price. I have been using their services for several years and have been pleased with everything they have done. I HIGHLY recommend them.

This Place USED to be very Good, Let me step back a second an say that Bill (The Guitar Guy) is the BEST in the Business. He ALONE is worth 5 stars. It's Dave who is the Problem. Daves quality went DOWN HILL. Not sure if he is even doing a majority of the amp work anymore. He has been getting arrogant and makes you feel like an idiot when you are talking to him. Not to mention the feeling of getting RIPPED off everytime you deal with HIM. Find another place when you need AMP work.

The best place to take your gear in NJ. Recently had my guitar set up - I was only expecting new strings and the neck to be set - Bill cleaned it, fixed the switches, repaired the wiring, and worked on some fret issues, etc. Will be bringing all of my guitars here!

Bill (as to guitars) and Dave (as to amps and effects) are the best! They do repairs perfectly and at very fair prices.They have tons of useful information about your gear that they are usually happy to share and are great dealing with amateurs as well the pros. Only caveat: If you are planning on going there with an attitude, then don't waste your time. They have just about as much work as they can handle, so they prefer working with musicians who want the best out of their equipment instead of someone who wants to tell them he knows more than everyone else.

Been using these guys for 25 years, and every time I walk out my sound is better. Dave has worked wonders with my amps by both restoring and modifying to improve tone and performance application, all the while allowing for restoration to original condition if desired. Billy has refretted, reconfigured, and even restored a valuable autograph on my guitars, every time making them play and sound -and even look - better. Both guys have also told me when I should refrain from trying to modify or restore something, even though I would have gladly parted with the cash. Integrity and high quality work combined like this is virtually impossible to find. If you really want to see what you can sound like, take your stuff to them. You will never regret it.
